Losing Face Fat The Easy Way
Losing face fat need not be a struggle!
Chubby cheeks, a double chin, bloated skin and a round face. On a baby they might look cute but on an adult, well it’s probably not quite the look that will have the opposite sex drooling over you. Still, looking on the bright side face fat does prevent wrinkles from showing up clearly so I guess every cloud has a silver lining.
Seriously though, losing face fat is perfectly possible and you can do it if you put your mind to it. Before we go into the best strategy for losing face fat, here are a few tips you should try first:
1. Reduce the salt in your diet. This is because salt intake goes hand in hand with water retention. And of course water retention can make your face look bloated and fat.

2. Along the same lines, reduce you calcium intake. Calcium is also another nutrient that aids water retention and will not make losing face fat easy. This primarily means reducing your intake of foods such as: milk, yoghurt and cheese.
3. Tone up some of the face muscles. This won’t help in losing face fat but if your face muscles are a bit stronger then they will be more tort which will help minimise the chubbiness of your face by holding it in place better. Here is one easy exercise:
Open your mouth as far as possible and pull your lower lip over your front teeth as much as you can. Tilt your head back and then make a scooping circular motion with your lower jaw. Do this 15-20 times, have a minute long break then repeat this three more times.
The above tips are helpful, however the real key to losing face fat is to lose fat from all over your body. A steady reduction in the percentage of bodyfat you have will eventually reduce the amount of fat that you have on your face.
Unfortunately because of the way the body works it is not possible to specifically target fat loss from the face area because when you lose weight it will come off your body in a genetically predetermined order which is different for everyone.
For example when you start to lose weight you may first lose weight from your thighs, then your waist and finally your face. The order is determined by the position of fat receptor cells which are placed in certain areas all around the body and cannot be changed.
This means that you need to focus on total body fat when trying to lose face fat. You can use one of the programs available at the top of the menu bar (above left) these all aim to help you create a calorie deficit.
A calorie deficit is when on a daily basis you use up more calories than you consume. When you do this, the deficit is made up with calories that are taken from fatty deposits around the body, hence weight loss ensues.
